Owl

The painting shows a stylized owl with huge round eyes, perched on a branch or stump. Everything is built from decorative patterns: the feathers and the background are broken into bright ornamental fragments (drops, “eye” shapes, scales), so the owl looks almost like a mosaic. On the left there’s a dark circle with a red crescent moon, and all around is a vivid, fantastical backdrop that creates a feeling of night, a fairy tale, and a slightly unsettling kind of magic.
