A watercolor painting. The mansion of the XIX-th century, Tutaev.
This two-story stone mansion with a semicircular light, built in the second half of the XIX century, is located on the corner of Arkhangelsk and Ushakov streets.
According to the documents of 1883, this house belonged to a non-commissioned officer Vasily Loginov. But later the building appears in the documents as an almshouse: first the Yefimovskaya, and since 1908 — the Demidovskaya almshouse at the Holy Archangel Co-religionist Church, here 13 elderly parishioners of the church were kept here.
After the revolution, the house passed into the housing stock. The locals call it "house-palette", explaining this by the fact that as a house is not painted, its colors will still appear over all the years.
The watercolor was drawn by me in 2019 from nature in the city of Tutaev on the Volga. On the Romanovskaya side of the city. The work participated in an open-air exhibition at the Listok Gallery, Moscow.
A4 size ( 21*29.5 cm), watercolor paper and watercolor paints. There is no registration.
