Simakov Andrey

Biography

Andrey Simakov was born in the family of woodcarving artists.
Having finished the secondary school he entered the Bogorodskoye Art Collage, the department of decorative woodcarving art. Studiing there Andrey got interested in exploring drawing and painting.
Graduating from the Art Collage with honours degree he continued his studiing in the Moscow Teachers Training Universirty, the faculty of fine arts where he studied water-coloured drawings, painting and composition.
The same courses Andrey took in the Academy of Art after the name of Repin in St Peterburg.
Nowerdays Andrey Simakov works as a teacher of drawing and composition at the Abramtsevo Art Collage. Regularly he takes part at the exhibitions in Russia.
Many of his works are in the private collections in the USA, Germany and Great Britain.
