Biography

I graduated from Gorky Art School in 1989. I live and work in the city of Nizhny Novgorod. My favorite subjects in painting are portrait, still life, and landscape. In drawing my favorite subjects are portrait and caricature. The media I use are pastel, oil, pencil, and charcoal. My works are in private collections in Russia, Germany, UK, and USA.

Rembrandt is my favorite artist. I am fascinated by mankind’s relationship with the world and at the same time by mankind’s loneliness. The greatest purpose for an artist is to illustrate the divine beauty of the world and mankind in his life work.
