Gyumri, Church of the Holy Mother of God (Seven Wounds), spring

Not finding blooming gardens in Yerevan, I went to Gyumri. Gyumri is higher above sea level, it is colder there, so the blooming starts later.
In front of the Church of the Holy Mother of God on Vardanants Square I saw a whole cherry orchard. The blossoming trees were so touching against the backdrop of the "black stone" walls!
The study is painted on watercolor paper by Hahnemuhle, 640g/m2, 100% cotton.
