paper/water-color 30.5cm x 23cm 2018
Etude from the natur.
On the wooded slope of Mount Naranko, three kilometers from the modern center of Oviedo, stands the largest surviving ancient Asturian church, a unique masterpiece of Preroman architecture. The building of the church was built in 842 as the main residence of King Ramiro I. Together with the neighboring chapel of Michael de Lillo, it was a single palace complex. In the XII century because of the corrosion of soils, the architectural complex was partially destroyed, and the surviving buildings were turned into temples. In 1985 they were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Painted on paper by Fabriano, 100% cotton.
