5ive, British pop group (boy band) of the late 1990s - early 2000s).
I liked the faces of these guys, I got carried away and made a horizontal version of the composition. Then I tried to work in the grotesque style.
In 2002, I tried to formulate a theoretical principle of caricature drawing. One of the postulates of my theory was the following assumption: in a serious and beautiful portrait, the divine
component of human nature finds its embodiment, and in a friendly caricature, its animal component. Therefore, drawing caricatures, I emphasized those facial features that we got from the monkeys, for example, the jaw; and the foreheads hiding the mind, on the contrary, underestimated. In doing so, I, of course, each time proceeded from the construction of a particular face.
Now I know that the divine nature of human being is embodied in both cases.
