Biography
Valeria Korolyova (b. 1993). An artist working at the intersection of urban landscape, street art aesthetics, and contemporary figurative painting. In her artistic practice, Valeria Korolyova explores the city as a living, breathing organism, and architecture as the skin of the metropolis, accumulating layers of time, advertising, and street art. She is interested not so much in architectural statics as in the movement and tactility of the environment. In her painting, she uses acrylic, mixed media with the addition of collage, achieving a dense, rich texture and contrasting, almost cinematic lighting.
