Biography
Irene Prosper (b. 1973, Novosibirsk) is a contemporary artist based in Sevastopol.
Starting with a classical art education, Irene gradually developed her own method, focusing on palette knife painting. This tool allowed her to move beyond flat surfaces: her paintings gain volume, and the brushstroke becomes an independent expressive element.
In Irene’s works, the focus is not on literal representation of nature, but on conveying sensations. The sea, sky, and fields transform into a symphony of light and texture: thick brushstrokes create relief, while the colour palette is built on subtle, almost musical harmonies of hues. Each painting is a moment of silence frozen on canvas.
The artist believes that in a world overflowing with noise, her works can become islands of tranquillity. Today, her paintings reside in private collections, where they continue to offer viewers a sense of harmony and a reminder of the beauty that is always close at hand.
