Biography

Gennadiy Ivanovich Elanskiy is a graduate of Repin Saint-Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1998
Russia. He has created over 300 works in the style of realistic tradition of Russian painting. Art lovers
know his art both in Russia, and abroad in his genre compositions, icons, portraits, landscapes and
still life. His canvases were highly appreciated by visitors of numerous exhibitions, by peers and
masters.

His work were presented to broad audience at more than 40 painting and personal
exhibitions and biennials. The author’s works can be found in private collections belonging to
collectors of painting and graphics in Russia, the USA, China, France, Germany, England, Japan,
Spain, Sweden and many other countries. Elanskiy is the surname which was included in the
encyclopedia of the most famous people in the world.
Gennadiy Elanskiy is a member of the Union of Painters of Russia. He is actively involved in
cultural and educational work and charity. In 2007, he was awarded with a silver medal “for the
contribution in saving Russian culture.”

In 2008, by the decision of the Council of George’s Union, he was awarded with the sign of
honour “Silver Cross” and “Silver ring.” In the same year, he was conferred with a tittle of a
correspondent member of Petrovskaya Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Gennadiy Elansky is the president of an International Association of Painters – ancestors of
Nobel Families “Revival,” an acting member of St.-Petersburg Gathering of Noblemen, his mother’s
predecessors belong to the family of Dolgorukiy. In 2012, by the decision of the Russian Gathering
of Noblemen, he was awarded with a III degree order of St. Stanislaw.
Since 2018, Gennadiy Elanskiy has been a member of advisory council of political club
“Capitals of Russia”, actively participating in public life of our city and country.
In 2017, Elanskiy’s name was included in the “Golden Book of Leningrad Oblast”, and since
2019, he has been a member of trustees council of the Fund of Social Programs.

The painter keeps on perfecting his skills, and currently is working on new pieces of art.
