Patrusheva Tatyana

Biography

Tatyana Patrusheva (born 1984, Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra) is a contemporary artist. She lives and works in Sochi.

She studied at the art department of the Children's Art School. In 2006, she graduated from the Art and Graphics Department of Nizhnevartovsk State University with a degree in Fine Arts.
She worked for many years as a graphic designer and illustrator. In 2020, she moved to Sochi. It was here, inspired by the beautiful subtropical nature, that she returned to painting and devoted herself to it full-time.

Tatyana prefers to work in oils and acrylics. Her move from north to south had a profound impact on her work. It is through images of southern nature that she reveals the key themes and ideas of her works. In her paintings, the artist reflects on human self-discovery in a dynamic modern world. Amidst social pressure, an endless stream of information, and the cult of ideal success, Tatyana urges us to listen to our own desires and not lose our true purpose. With a touch of irony in her stories, Tatyana demonstrates that happiness and beauty are unique to everyone.
The balance between the modern world and nature is another significant theme in her work. She interprets her vivid observations of reality and uniqueness into collages of abstract landscapes. She analyzes and reflects on how humans and nature, the man-made world and the surrounding environment, interact and interrelate. She strives to capture the harmony within this. She idealizes and romanticizes this connection, thereby encouraging people to strive for this very balance.

Her works are in private collections in Europe, the USA, and Russia.
