Biography
Since 1957, he participated in the regional, zonal, all-union, national and international exhibitions. Created the landscape works, praising the beauty of nature, portraits and paintings on the topic of the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars: "Along the Military Road" (1967), "Bulletin. 1918" (1969), "Reds have come" (1973), "Russia's Sons. 1942" (1989), "Fighting 1918" (1989), "Springs of the North" (1982), "Ice Drift. Vyatka North", "Immensity of Russia. The Red Mountain Ash" (1997), "Moon Night" (1987) and others. The painting "The return. 1942" (1978) - one of the vertices of the artist, was exhibited at the All-Union Exhibition "60 Heroic Years", as well as in Poland, Hungary, Romania and the GDR.
Since 1965, he worked in the Arts Council of Kirov branch of the Art Fund of RSFSR. In the years of 1978-1983 N. Pimenov is chairman of the Kirov Artists' Unionof the RSFSR. In 1982-1987 - member of the Painting Artists committee of the RSFSR.
N.N. Pimenov died on October 26, 2005 in Kirov. He was buried in Lobanovskoe Cemetery in Kirov.
His works are kept in the Vasnetsov Brothers Art Museum, in museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
