Biography

Born in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute. Worked in Russia and Italy.
Selected artworks are presented in private collections in Italy and Russia.


The creative path of the artist has always accompanied the professional path of the architect, but at some point in life they switched places.
My work is always a movement from the simple to the complex. It is an invitation to reflect on the familiar and seemingly simple things as something deeper and more meaningful. It is a reflection on the fragil i ty and vulnerabil i ty of the world around us.
My first series of works was about women in fashion and was created from photographs from VOGUE magazine. The work was made in the style of figurative art and full of graphics - as if to emphasize the complexity of professions related to the fashion industry, indicating the depth of the person who made the choice to build a career in this field.

Further, work at the Wildlife Charity Foundation, prompted the creation of the creative project «They Can Go Away Forever».
The fragmentary image of animals and the image of figures of animals moving away is a call to reflect on human activities that harm the environment. It is a reflection on the fact that mankind will destroy many species of animals and they will live only in our memories, and then, gradually, begin to dissolve in memory. And only sometimes, only scraps of what they looked like will come to mind.

The second trend in which I work is «Geometrism».
As an architect, you have to analyse and work with form. One of the tasks is to create a harmonious combination and interaction of forms, their color and texture.

In my artistic work I often use familiar techniques from working with space.
My interest in exploring the infinite potential of geometry led to the creation of a series of works called «DNA».
It is a series of works conducting analogy with kinship. Each of the three works in the «DNA» series is united by a common initial combination of several geometric shapes – that is a DNA molecule that holds the genetic code. Further, by different combinations of lines and their intersections-it is like the division of cells in biological processes, works not similar to each other are born, initially having a common basis.

«Donna» mini-series
This is the first series in which I try to translate through dry geometry the living feelings and states of a person.
There are several types of art through which you can convey an emotional state-music, poetry, dance ... But only the fine arts provide an opportunity to convey the same through a very diverse number of artistic techniques.
