Biography

My name is Olesya Anatolyevna Ternovaya. Until the summer of 2021, my life was like many others: "work - home - family." And then I could not even imagine that I would start drawing.

But I'll start in order.

I was born in Novosibirsk. After the ninth grade, she moved to Barnaul, where she successfully completed regular school No. 27.

As a child, I tried different hobbies, but I never got carried away with something serious and for a long time.

Then I had one dream - to become a doctor. And I made it happen. Six years of study at the Altai Medical University and another year in an internship in therapy, and now I have a doctor's degree in my hands.

Then I decided to get a specialty "Doctor of Ultrasound Diagnostics" and in 2006 I left for Moscow for residency.
Having received a specialty, I returned to Barnaul, where I now live and work as an ultrasound diagnostician.

As a student, I loved taking pictures. I got up early in the morning, almost at dawn, and went with a camera to the deserted streets of our city. When the city just wakes up, there is a special magic of the moments that my camera captured.
In Moscow, I continued my hobby and almost every weekend I visited beautiful mansions, estates and parks, from where I left with gigabytes of pictures.

A special delight for me is to take pictures while traveling. I am inspired by the landscapes of distant countries, the rich colors of vegetation, the surface and waves of the seas. And the nature of the Altai Mountains never ceases to amaze with its power and freedom.

And the painting...
Yes, sometimes I took a pencil and made various sketches, but it didn’t go beyond the table.

In the summer of 2021, I felt an irresistible desire to draw. I ordered a set of acrylic paints on a well-known marketplace, but immediately realized that I could not wait for delivery. Half an hour later I was already standing at the checkout of the store with the first set of brushes and paints.

From that day began my acquaintance with painting. I never learned to draw professionally, so my first steps are timid and uncertain.

Now, after some time, I clearly understand that in painting I have found a lot for myself. This process brings me incredible joy and pleasure, when I paint pictures - I have a rest.
I saw that our world plays with many colors and color transitions. Believe me, after 17 years of working on a black-and-white ultrasound machine, you start to forget it)
