Biography
Olga Sondge is a painter. Born, living, working in Moscow, she studied painting and drawing in the studio of A.E. Ochnev, as well as at leading academic institutions of Russia: the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov and the Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry.
Olga Sondge’s graphic works are characterized by swift, dynamic lines — curved and straight — that awaken frozen landscapes or still lifes. Light and shadow are arranged with precision, like actors on a stage, each knowing their place.
Her works in the style of contemporary impressionism are painted in oil using the impasto technique. The artist explores the boundary between reality and its emotional perception, creating canvases that exist outside specific time and space. The dense, textured strokes of oil paint transcend mere technical execution, becoming a means to convey the inner vibration of a moment and its emotional intensity.
Olga Sondge is a regular participant in exhibitions and the author of articles on art and design. Her works have been displayed in Moscow museums and art spaces, including the Central House of Art Workers (CDRI), the exhibition hall of the Moscow Union of Artists, the Borodino Battle Panorama Museum, the museum-exhibition complex of the Volokolamsk Kremlin, and galleries and exhibition spaces in cities such as St. Petersburg.
