Biography
German Shirokov (born May 24, 1955, Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk region) is a Russian avant-garde artist known for his works in the genre of modern interior painting. Member of the Zurab Tsereteli Academy of World Art.
Born in Nizhny Tagil, Herman showed creative abilities from an early age. Already in his school years, from 1962 to 1970, he actively participated in the creation of drawings and paintings for school exhibitions.. After graduating from high school, he entered a technical college, where he also studied art. This was followed by service in the Soviet Army, where he continued to practice art, creating paintings and portraits.[
After completing his military service, he continued his studies, enrolling in the art faculty of the Nizhny Tagil Pedagogical Institute (KHGF-NTGPI). Later, continuing to develop his skills, he studied at the Faculty of Graphic Designers at the Architectural Institute.
Since 1997, German Shirokov has devoted himself to his professional career as an artist. His work encompasses a variety of styles and genres, including portrait, landscape, still life, and especially modern interior compositions. German Shirokov's works have been exhibited not only in Russia, but also abroad, including exhibitions in Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Thailand, Greece, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, China and France.
