Biography
From 1969 to 1970 - Art School (teacher Kurylenko G.M.).
From 1970 to 1976 - Crimean Art School named after Samokish (1971- 1973. – service in the army), teachers: Sobol V.P., Shipov A.N., Lebenok L.V., Sizikov E.V.
Since 1976, Work in the production art and design combine. For his design work, he received a medal of the VPDNH (Kiev) and a diploma of the second degree (1992). As a realist painter, he exhibited in the USSR agricultural line at several regional (Simferopol), republican (young Artists Kiev), international youth exhibition in Bulgaria (1988). From 1987 to 1992, he was a member of the informal association "Experiment" (modernism), which then developed into the "Crimean Association of Contemporary Art" and was created as a protest against the directions of painting existing in the Union of Artists of the USSR. Works in the direction of surrealism, symbolism, neorealism, hyperrealism. Exhibitions in Simferopol, Lviv, Moscow, Dnepropetrovsk. Cooperation with ARS Gallery (Moscow). From 1992 to 2011, Mukiy V.D. lives and works in the village of Kurortnoye (Karadag scientific station). During this time, he has participated in several dozen conceptual exhibitions in the Crimea, Ukraine and Russia.
Since 2011, he has been living and working in Simferopol.
The works of Vladimir Davydovich Mukiy are in the I.K. Aivazovsky National Art Gallery, the A.S. Green Museum, private collections in England, Germany, Yugoslavia, Israel, the USA, Poland and many other countries.
