Biography

Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Artists of Russia, had the military rank of captain. Years of life: 1923 to 2008. Born in Murom. He was a close friend of my grandfather. I painted and presented several paintings for him. My grandfather has been gone for a long time, but I want to sell all the paintings to good hands.
In 1944, the first personal exhibition of Alexander Linkov took place in Moscow. In the same year, he entered the Studio of Military Artists named after M. B. Grekov, and then the House of the Russian Army, where he worked until 1950. He studied with N. N. Zhukov, the head of the studio of M. B. Grekov, who was called the main war artist, and the Kukryniksov. Since 1944, A. M. Linkov has organized about twenty personal exhibitions. Since 1947, the artist has been a regular participant in group exhibitions: all-Union, republican, city (Moscow, Murom, Vladimir, Vyksa, Dmitrov). Two of his personal exhibitions were held in Murom - in 1993 and 1998.

Since 1965, Alexander Mikhailovich constantly participated in exhibitions of artists-veterans of the Great Patriotic War. He was repeatedly awarded diplomas of I, II, III degrees from the Combine of Diorama, Model and Artistic Works of the Moscow State Geographical Society of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic.
