Biography


Zarema Kurbanova was born on November 5, 1975 in the family of a cabinetmaker and needlewoman. From 1982 to 1990 she studied at a secondary school in the city of Buynaksk, where she made her first toy for an exhibition at school - Karkusha from the TV show Good Night, Kids. From 1983 to 1990 he studied at the Art College in Buynaksk. From 1988 to 1990 she graduated from the Sewing School. In 1994 he received the specialty of a graphic designer at the Art College. M.A. Jemal in Makhachkala with the theme of the graduation project "National costume". Since 1994, he worked in the house of creativity in his specialty.
In 2013, she moved with her family to the city of Krasnodar, having decided to radically change the vector of creative development from design to sculpture, as well as monumental and puppet art.
November 26, 2014 in the shopping center "Galaktika" in Krasnodar, the first author's exhibition and sale was held, the works of which were united by the common theme of home folk amulets. Even then, it became clear that the exhibition's bestseller, Brownie, would become the talisman of the artist's personal brand and her entire career.
April 1, 2015 at the Krasnodar Musical Theater "Premiere" them. Gatov, as part of the Give Children Joy campaign, Zarema's first charity exhibition was held.
In the same year, the author decided to combine the materials of her dissertation and the practical and professional experience gained during the development process in an ethno-national exhibition project, the theme of which was dolls in national costumes of the peoples of Russia. in all their unique diversity. The exhibition was held on March 3, 2016 in the city of Makhachkala under the name "Unique Dolls of Zarema Kurbanova", securing this slogan for the author's personality at the regional and later federal level.
For the implementation of this project and the development of the national culture of the peoples of her native land, on May 24, 2017, Zarema Kurbanova received the title of Master of Folk Art Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan. Further, together with the Church of the Nativity in Krasnodar, Zarema created the Bethlehem Nativity scene known throughout the entire Southern District with life-size figures of the Virgin, Joseph the Betrothed, the Magi, and shepherds. , etc.
On June 29, 2017, by the decision of the chairman of the trade union S.V. Zagraevsky Zarema Kurbanova received a certificate of a member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia, and was also awarded the medal "For merits in the field of culture and art."
Today Zarema Kurbanova's designer dolls are popular in many parts of the world, decorating private collections in America, France, Spain, Turkey and other countries.
