Biography
My name is Pavel, and I am an artist who sees in wood not just a material, but a living canvas capable of telling a story. My works are abstract panels made of solid wood, where every line, curve, and texture becomes part of a visual language that speaks without words.
Pavel Vladimirovich Krasnov was born on February 5, 1977, in Novosibirsk, and currently resides in the Altai region. He holds a higher technical education. Since 2003, he has been engaged in the design and creation of interior items.
I draw inspiration from nature, its imperfections and harmony, as well as from human emotions that cannot be expressed literally. In my works, I explore the balance between chaos and order, between chance and intention. For me, wood is a co-author that brings its uniqueness to each piece, whether through natural patterns, cracks, or transitions of shades.
My creative process is a dialogue with the material. I do not just create a form but reveal what is already inherent in the wood, emphasizing its natural beauty and adding abstract elements to it. This makes each panel unique, one of a kind.
My works are not just art objects but emotions frozen in wood. They invite the viewer to pause, to touch with their gaze, and to feel a connection with nature and themselves. I believe that art should be alive, tactile, and sincere, and this is what I strive to convey in each of my creations.
My panels have already found their admirers in private collections, and now I am looking for an opportunity to present them in galleries, where they can inspire and delight new viewers. If you feel that my works could complement the space of your gallery or collection, I would be happy to share more about my creative process and the stories behind each piece.
I participated in the exhibition "Design Without Borders" in Novosibirsk in 2022.
