Biography

Born in 1959 in Orsha, Vitebsk region, Republic of Belarus. In the 1980 s, he entered the Department of easel painting at the N. K. Krupskaya Correspondence National University of Arts Moscow.
Since 1990, he has been living in the city of Pokrov, Vladimir region. He is one of the initiators and founders of the Levitan Movement in Pokrov. Since 1995, he has constantly worked as an organizer of various exhibitions at the Museum of Local Lore, being one of the initiators of the creation of an Art Gallery in Pokrov.
In 2011, Alexander Izofatov became a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
In 2016, one of the most significant events in the artist's life took place - he joined the international creative project Russian Atlantis of the Center for Humanitarian Programs in St. Petersburg.
Since 1986, Alexander Izofatov has been a regular participant in group, city, district and regional art exhibitions in the cities of Vladimir, Moscow, Kolomna, Pokrov, Alexandrov, Dorogobush, Gomel, Orsha.
The artist's works are in Italy, Israel, Finland, and the Republic of Belarus.
Currently he lives in Pokrov.
