Biography
Hello! My name is Victoria Bespalova, I am 47 years old, and I live in St. Petersburg. I am a designer, decorator, and artist who is endlessly in love with creativity.
I do not have an academic art education, but I have studied at popular online art schools, such as Skillbox, Natalia Yurshina's school, Daria Petrik's mirror paintings, Adelina Akbirova's school, Dmitry Yurchenko's school, and the marathons of the Aron Honoré Academy. I have also practiced extensively.
Since childhood, I have always been passionate about creativity, but the reality of the 1990s led me to pursue a different education and professional path. Over the years, I have returned to creating unique items with my own hands, becoming interested in the restoration and redesign of vintage furniture. Eventually, I found myself drawn to paints and brushes, leading me to create interior paintings using traditional techniques. As I combined painting with applied techniques that required quick drying stages, I began using acrylic paints.
From abstract forms, I was drawn to realistic, detailed images that evoked positive emotions and were pleasing to the eye.
In today's world, where time is compressed and the pace of life is increasingly intense, with so much negativity and pain, indifference and emptiness, stereotypes and limitations, we often forget to appreciate the simplest and most familiar things. However, it is inevitable that everyone will experience this feeling at some point in their lives. Due to my spiritual perception of what is happening in life, in the world, and in society, I have an acute need to see beauty in the little things, in the details, in every day and moment around me. What we see with our eyes, what is readable and understandable, even in abstract stylization, has become an artistic direction in my work.
Life is complex and simple at the same time: people are driven by the same motives, qualities, and emotions. The only difference is in their opportunities and circumstances. Through my art, I strive to create a positive and supportive environment in people's homes, which can positively impact their well-being, mood, and stress levels. The emotions evoked can bring peace, increase satisfaction with life, and serve as a catalyst for positive changes and actions. I am inspired by what surrounds us every day: nature, the beauty and elegance of people, flora, and fauna; architecture, and spiritual beauty. I am also drawn to the ethnic theme: culture, traditions, and symbols that have stood the test of time. I express my aesthetic pleasure and emotional positivity through my artwork.
For 5 years, I have been creating modern interior paintings in realistic and abstract-realistic styles: I use acrylic paints, often combining painting with decorative techniques, and I use texture paste, mirrors, tinsel, and rhinestones for tactility and volume, complexity, and shine. I enjoy creating multitasking works.
