Tom Sawyer's adventures in a seaside town

Many of us loved the book "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" as a child, and probably, during boring lessons, dreamed of escaping from school , having fun and traveling instead of studying, like the enterprising and brave boy from Mark Twains book.
The image of Tom Sawyer embodies the carelessness and wonderful world of childhood!

Despite his restless nature, Tom reads a lot, preferring adventure literature, since he is an adventurer by nature and loves to look for adventures! Tom also dreams of being somewhere far away, in a fabulously beautiful place with his best friends - Joe Harper, Huckleberry Finn and the wonderful girl Becky Thatcher, with whom Tom has been in love since recently.

And one day his dream came true-adventures brought him to this cute town!
Surely, he has already done something once again , for which he was attracted to socially useful work.
Since there are not so many fences in this town, and they are all painted, he was commissioned to refresh the pedestal of the famous statue!

On the canvas, we see a wonderful small town located on a steep bank.
In the lower right corner of the picture, we see a bridge that will probably lead us to the neighboring fairy-tale state located across the sea strait.

We can see that the sparkling blue sea water is splashing below at the foot of the steep shore. There is a pier with a lot of boats there!
Every year in August, in honor of the "Day of Faith" holiday, kayaking competitions are held in the strait between beautiful residents of the city.

This holiday existed for a long time, but was renamed "Day of Faith", in honor of a girl who once lived here and, once, amazed everyone with her victory in the competition by a large margin!
The name of this girl – Vera, has become a landmark, because the people of this city have always believed in miracles and knew that faith makes the impossible possible!

In honor of Vera, near the bridge across the strait, a wonderful sculpture was installed, called "Girl with an oar", made by the famous sculptures Ivan Shadr!
The town knows that for some time this statue was installed in the central park of the city of Moscow , in Gorky Park.
Subsequently, it was dismantled and, perhaps, in order to find itself in this fabulous place.

Tom Sawyer was commissioned to paint the pedestal of this wonderful statue, because the "Day of Faith" holiday is very soon and many tourists will come to the competitions!
