As a child, I could spend hours leafing through a large Soviet book "On tasty and healthy food." Then, without delving into the recipes, I gladly looked at the luxurious illustrations on the whole page. The drawings were made with great love and knowledge of the matter - they always aroused an appetite and urged to urgently eat something tasty. So in my new film I wanted to evoke similar emotions in the viewer. Tell me, isnt it wonderful to sit at lunchtime at a solidly heavy round country table covered with a linen tablecloth? In a deep old plate, a fragrant borscht is smoked, poured from a soup tureen, which was inherited from my grandmother. From the heart add fat sour cream and fresh herbs to it. Pepper a little. And finally, slap a glass of ice-cold vodka, having a snack on Borodino bread with a pink slice of homemade bacon and garlic. Five minutes later, squinting with pleasure, coquettishly blot the beads of sweat on his forehead with a snow-white napkin and say: "Hes a noble borscht today!"
