The name of the church is associated with short periods of its construction.
The first wooden church on this site was built in 1592 for one day.
This church was burned by the Poles in 1611
in the battle with the militia under the command of Prince D.M. Pozharskogo.
In 1612 the church was restored.
The present building was erected in 1702-1706 dumnyi clerk G.F. Derevnin,
presumably, by the architect I.P. Zarudny.
In Soviet times the church was acting.
