Simonov Assumption Monastery is located in the modern Danilovsky district of Moscow, and was one of the largest and richest monasteries in the capital of Russia.
The fortress wall had five towers. The Kuznechnaya (blacksmith) tower is located between the Dulo and Salt towers and has a pentagonal shape in plan. It was built at the same time as the entire complex of monastic fortifications and at the end of the XVII century was built over a stone tent. (Wikipedia)
