It was like this … I was invited to participate in the exhibition "Days of Serbia …" The curator had an idea for the participants to illustrate the book "Paper theater" by Milorad Pavic, which I had not read. I was told that the book consists of the stories of writers invented by Pavich, such a literary device.
For some reason, I thought that the writers he invented should be all Serbian, and I started drawing them from my imagination.
Then I began to read the book. It turned out Pavich created the images of writers from around the world. I had to restructure my work. And portraits of imaginary Serbian writers remained out of work.
Here is one of them. This is an avant-garde writer, such as Velimir Khlebnikov, who created in the 20s… I gave him a little resemblance to Nikola Tesla.
