The first images of horses in rock paintings have appeared still when the horse hasn't been cultivated. And since then it is one of favourite themes at artists. Unfortunately, the majority of the image of horses distinguishes banal boredom. The more valuably A.Semushina's given work which can be reproached in everything, but only not in boredom. Reception which the image of “a drunk horse” dares is curious. It is curious that it is difficult for rationalizing. Approaching to this canvas, you see in the beginning only chaotic heap of contrast stains. However at attentive examining, really, contours of a horse are shown. However, lines hardly consult with the form-building problem. Thus filigree the calculated rhythm of stains makes impression of loss of balance and coordination infringement. It is not less interesting, as, breaking off light lines a file black, the effect of infringement of integrity of "drunk" consciousness of the character is transferred. Connection in the given work of irony and sentimentality is remarkable also – «the drunk horse» is accompanied by two conditional foals.
