Christian traditions reject from direct depicting of Trio, as it would contradict to the conception of inconceivable God. Canonic are only symbolic images. The plot named “Hospitality of Abraham” – it is the appearance of three angels in front of Abraham, they symbolize persons of the Holy Trinity. There are two composition types – where persons of the Holy Trinity are not allocate anyhow, and angels’ equity is emphasized, and where the central angel is sorted out, for example, by special nimbus. As we see, compositionally surrealistic Holy Trinity of A.Semushin belongs to the second type. Let’s also mark that, in spite of non-canonical metaphysical depiction of personages, this painting still takes some canonic aspects into account. For example, it is canonic requirements for images to be static.
