At first glance at this work, it seems that we are shown "Rorschach stains” - psychodiagnostic tests, created by Swiss psychiatrist G. Rorschach, in which the subject is asked to give an interpretation of ink blots of different colors and different saturation. The conclusion of the individual characteristics of the human state of mind is made from the contents and "plot" of free association caused with blots. And only the name of the work makes us see flat "fish's head”, frantically gasping for air in the folds of the ink stain. The green "algae" in the upper right corner – is the famous cavalri mustache of the master. Well, keeping in mind the words of the Apostle Paul to Romans that God "will reward each according to his deeds”, what a portrait did the king of surrealism Salvador Dali deserve so often shocked the audience? Obviously, it shouldn’t be the style of socialist realism. This work is notable as the rhythm of monochrome tones of blue reveals the nature of the character - an
eccentric, expressive, temperamental. Not by chance the choice of color palette was made. The blue color, as suggested by the Buddhist tradition is the color of the subconscious. Dali derived his themes and subjects exactly from the subconscious.
