Dana Mukanova-Khurshudian was born in Karaganda.

In 1989-1993 – Scientific collaborator at Leningrad Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry named by I. Sechenov (Russian Federation). Ph.D. in Biology. Vice-Chairman of Armenian-Kazakhstan Society of friendship and cooperation, Yerevan, Armenia (since 1997).
She has more than 20 scientific works (articles and books) on Biochemistry, Orientalistics and the issues of Armenian-Kazakh relationships.

From 2001 Dana participates in the art exhibition in Kazakhstan and abroad. The Member of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan – since 2004 and the Member of the Artists Union of Armenia – since 2005. From 2008 the Member of the Russian' professional Union of Artists. In her artist portfolio there are the series of the remarkable portraits of the contemporaries.
Since 2004 she paints the works devoted to “the Sakas epoch” of Eurasia steppes.
Her works are in private collections in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Czech Republic, Great Britain, India, Iran, Italy, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, the USA and Uzbekistan.
