Gerasimov Vladimir Viktorovich was born in Moscow on March 23, 1953. He has graduated from the artistic and graphics faculty of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute. He was working as an industry designer and a head of the drawing studio for dozens of years. Currently he is a teacher of painting and design in a high educational institution of Moscow.
Being a member of the professional and creative Union of Artists and Graphic Artists of the International Federation of Artists, he participated in: the Fall Exhibition of Moscow Artists in 1987; exhibition of Moscow Artists dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Russian railroads; exhibition in Manezh "Malaya Gruzinskaya 28" in 1991; the Fall Exhibition "Malaya Gruzinskaya 28"; exhibition dedicated to the 850th anniversary of Moscow in 1997 and other exhibitions. In July-August 2004 he participated in the exhibition "World of Art" in the Central House of Artists, Moscow.
Vladimir Gerasimov has been cooperating for a long time with art saloons and galleries as well as with private individuals. His paintings are in private collections in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and other cities of the former USSR, as well as in private collections in Germany, Austria, France, England, Italy, Bulgaria, Australia, USA, Canada, Serbia and other countries.
Being anxious for expressing himself and his attitude to life, Vladimir Gerasimov uses in his work different tendencies in painting, among them are symbolism and abstraction. However, the main tendency is the urban and romantic views.
