Morozov Edward Nikolaevich. 1938-2000.
Was born in 1938 in Achinsk of Krasnoyarsk region. The early childhood was necessary for military and post-war time: hunger, ruin, loss of the close person-father. The father was lost in 1942 near Leningrad (2nd shock army). Mother brought up five children alone. This hard time has scarred creativity of the artist.
He has started to draw at early age. He eas engaged in the Southern-Sakhalin fine art studio of the House of pioneers, and then and himself in his taught. He has learnt to draw at great painters by copying of their paintings. He has dreamt to learn to paint how great Botichelli, Leonardo da Vinci did it…
He admired Vrubel's creativity, Van Gogh and Gauguin's works.
To creativity approached seriously, at times torturing itself. He hurried up to make more and better. For 60 years of a course of life by it it is created about 400 artworks: portraits, psychological and philosophical pictures, graphic works. Studied in Novosibirsk building-architectural institute which has left after 3rd course-has won love to painting.
After army he worked at drama theatre of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, later as the art director in the Sakhalin studio of TV.
Since 1964 with a family has moved to Izhevsk and has started to work as the art director at the Izhevsk TV studio. In parallel co-operated with the Udmurt book publishing house as the illustrator. He issues tens books of different genres. Among them: ”The Udmurt national fairy tales”, M.Petrov's poem of "Italmas", ”A nonsense Praise” by Erazma Rotterdam, ”The Fairy tale about tsar Saltane” by A.S.Pushkin, ”The Udmurt cuisine”.
It was not the naturalist, he wrote that arose in its imagination, creating own, maybe, the idealistic world thought up by it. In its pictures deep philosophy. Its pictures draw, excite, force to reflect on meaning of the life. The beauty, charm, serenity, tenderness of female images, internal light force more and more time to peer at the fine pictures created by it. In it a secret of skill of the artist-see in ordinary, at times sulphur, a life beauty and to show to its people.
On July, 17th, 2000 the artist has died. But his creativity is alive.

Bible characters, ballerinas of Diaghilev's Russian seasons in an aura of freakish scenery, gallant hussars and Chekhovian intellectuals, fantastic берегини and thoughtful ladies in ancient farmstead parks. The soul of Russia lives in these pictures. Russia of a Silver age, yet not knowing, what tests are coming it…
The dreamer and the idealist who has grown on classical music and the great Russian literature, it could not sing of "everyday life of great buildings”, create on a pointer. At the epoch when it was recommended to keep up to date, Morozov has managed to live in other measurement. It was the original form of the protest. Simply the artist's soul did not accept boring naturalism and a wingless socialist realism, was torn to heights of human spirit and boundless freedom of a flight of fancy. Some times friends-artists invited to show the pictures high comissions, coming for selection of works on prestigious reviews. However near to vigorous and brawny contemporaries in magnificent frames its fragile and sad Chekhovian young ladies somehow did not look. And arising in light and colour streams unearthly visions-angels with wings, the Christ going on waters, a freakish theatre world - musical images of A.Vertinskogo, T.Karsavinoj and M.Plisetskaya's dance absolutely were "quite another thing".
He worked on TV, made out books, painted walls in kindergartens. This work gave means of subsistence, allowing not to refuse thus the sights and predilections, in effect, to preserve in purity the soul. In it there was something from the eremite or the devotee. The artist gave all free time to creativity: rose in four mornings and worked, creating on a canvas or on any improvised material the world favourably different from real harmony, beauty and refinement. He worked greedily as though was afraid not to have time to make his plans. For him there were no days off and holidays, idleness and boredom. New plans and ideas overflowed him, creativity was sense and a way of life.
Edward Morozov considered that the art purpose – eternity.Он fairly and there has up to the end passed the career, and the award to it was that high that reaches in itself and the artist who has given a life to art opens another.
