Biography
Artist Valentin Tereshenko was born in Siberia (Irkutsk city) in 1941.
First art teacher of Tereshenko was German artist Bruno Dihl. After he graduated from workshop of Academican Anatoly Alekseev (1960)
In 1960-1961 Valentin worked as a school teacher of drawing in Siberian town Kansk.
In 1961 he entered St. Petersburg Art Academy named after I.Repin to the workshop of professor Aleksander Sokolov. In 1962 he was called up and served as a sailor on the Baltic Sea. In 1965 Valentin was demobilized and stayed in Kaliningrad (Kenigsberg) to work as a Director of Children Art School. In 1969 he continued education in. In 1974 he graduated from Minsk Institute of Theatre and Arts (workstudio of professor Peter Sharangovich) .
The same year of 1974 Valentin Tereshenko became member of the Artists Union. He used to work as principal artist of the Art-Production Centre in Tomsk city.
In 1979 he found Art Museum in settlement Gubino of Tomsk city region (Siberia).
In 1982 he moved to Moscow and concentrated only on his own painting style.
Since that time Tereshenko has created featured collection of paintings and graphics- engravings, pastels and watercollors. Among them there are portraits of contemporary persons, landscapes, seascapes, and serials of exclusive engravings, lythographics and book illustrations. He has taken an active part in social life and exhibited his paintings at the featured exhibition halls of Russia. Since then he has been supported by art collectors.
Also he was noted and distinguished by the European and American patrons of arts. For a long time he lived in Italy where he created a collection of artworks characterised by a special perfection of mastery and enveloped by the spirit of a new creative awareness. An Italian editor “Spirali/Vel” has issued a biographical catalogue of Tereshenko art named “Man without Place” with Armando Verjilione article, and book “Valentin Tereshenko” with Roger Dadoun article that included the artist’s paintings from the Museum of Villa San Carlo Borromeo (Milan, Italy) collection.
In 2018 Valentin Tereshenko become a member of Mondial Art Academia with status Academican of Mondial Art Academia.
Valentin Tereshenko is the participant of many worldwide personal and group exhibitions and auctions.
His artworks are available in many museums collections of Russia, in Italian museum collection, also in private collections of EU countries, USA, Canada, China.
Leading genres of Valentin Tereshenko art are portraits, landscapes, still lives, seascapes, figurative compositions, also pencil drawings, water- collor paintings and pastel.
